The demand for versatile, cost-effective engineering plastics continues to grow across automotive, electronics, and home appliance sectors. Based on industry data from the China Plastics Processing Industry Association, the PC/ABS market in China exceeded 800,000 tons in 2025, with annual growth of approximately 6%. To address this demand, Qingdao Primetech Plastics Co., Ltd. has officially launched its new general purpose PC/ABS alloy series, designed to deliver high impact resistance, heat deflection up to 110°C, and excellent injection molding processability. This product line is now available for global customers through its export partner, Qingdao Prime Union Trade Co., Ltd., leveraging over two decades of engineering plastics supply chain experience.
The newly launched PC/ABS alloy series (grades HI5330, HI5345, and HI5365) offers a balanced combination of mechanical performance and processability. Below are the core characteristics validated by ISO testing methods.
High Impact Strength – Notched Izod impact values range from 35 kJ/m² to 65 kJ/m² depending on PC content (30%, 45%, or 65%). The high impact PC/ABS grade (HI5365) achieves 65 kJ/m², suitable for battery pack housings and power tool enclosures that require drop resistance at low temperatures (-20°C).
Heat Resistance up to 110°C – Heat deflection temperature (HDT at 1.8 MPa) reaches 102°C for the high-PC grade, and customized formulations can achieve up to 110°C for under-hood or high-power electronic applications. This heat resistant PC/ABS 110°C capability ensures dimensional stability in demanding thermal environments.
Low Shrinkage & Dimensional Stability – Mold shrinkage ranges from 0.4% to 0.7% (ISO 294), providing consistent part dimensions for precision injection molding. The HI5345 grade offers shrinkage as low as 0.4-0.6%, ideal for plated decorative parts.
Custom Colors & Effects – Available as custom colored PC/ABS pellets according to Pantone or RAL codes. The material can be supplied ready-to-mold with uniform color dispersion, eliminating secondary painting for many applications.
Regulatory Compliance – All grades meet RoHS and REACH requirements. UL HB flammability certification is available upon request.

Automotive Interiors – Dashboard components, air vent grilles, and gear shift bezels. The PC/ABS for automotive interiors grade (HI5345) offers low shrinkage and excellent adhesion for chrome plating, meeting PV 1200 thermal cycling and CASS salt spray test requirements. One automotive tier 1 supplier validated HI5345 for shift lever panels with consistent plating adhesion.
Electronic Housings – Charger enclosures, router shells, and power adapter casings. The PC/ABS for electronic housings grade (HI5330) features high flow (MFI 30) for thin-wall molding down to 1.0 mm wall thickness. A customer manufacturing drone remote controllers switched to HI5330 and eliminated short shots without mold modification.
Home Appliances – Microwave oven front panels, air conditioner decorative strips, and vacuum cleaner housings. The material’s balance of rigidity and impact resistance (flexural modulus up to 2400 MPa) ensures durable performance with aesthetic surface finish.
Other Applications – Helmets, ski clips, and battery pack enclosures. The high impact grade (HI5365) passed -30°C drop ball tests for a sports equipment customer.

Formula Adjustments – Heat resistance can be tuned from 90°C to 110°C; impact strength from 35 to 65 kJ/m²; flame retardancy can be upgraded to V0 or V2 upon request. For applications requiring enhanced UV stability or hydrolysis resistance, we can modify the stabilizer package accordingly.
Color Matching – We provide custom colored PC/ABS pellets in any RAL or Pantone code. Color consistency is monitored via spectrophotometer with ΔE < 0.5 batch-to-batch.
Injection Molding Support – Our technical team, with over 15 years of hands-on experience, assists customers with process optimization: drying conditions (80-100°C for 2-4 hours), mold temperature (70-85°C), and injection pressure adjustments. For domestic customers, on-site trial molding is available; for international customers, remote video support (Zoom/Teams) is offered to troubleshoot defects such as weld lines, sink marks, or poor filling.
Quality Assurance – We operate under an ISO9001-certified quality system with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) tracking each production batch. COA (Certificate of Analysis) is provided with every shipment, including MFI, impact strength, HDT, and color coordinates.
